Great authentic Mexican food. Superb salsa and chips ( huge boel of fresh in house cooked tortilla chips). The reviews do not do this restaurant justice. The mole sauce on my chin and burrito was perfectly reduced, the tortillas obviously made in house. Will return soon...

This place was pretty standard mexican food. I did think the umbrellas in the margaritas were a nice touch. The salsa is different and heavier on the garlic which I enjoyed. The service was friendly and prompt.

I came here for family dinner and loved it. It's not too bad compared to other places. Great service!

I had the enchilada supremas for supper. It was very good. Sauce was tasty. My only issue was too much chicken in the chicken enchilada. Cheese enchilada was the best. Will have again

Went here last night for a change from the other Mexican restaurants in Junction City and enjoyed the experience. We usually go to La Fiesta but this restaurant is a little closer and we wanted to try something new. I would say the food was just as good as La Fiesta, if not slightly better! They give you a huge bowl of salsa, which was great because we never ran out and had to wait for them to bring more! The service was great and answered all my questions about the menu. The only flaw is the place looks kinda dead. There were only about 3 other families in there at the time and the furniture looked a little dull, no color. But other than that, I would definitely eat there again!!

First time in Junction City and stopped in here... Decent food... Was out very quick... But seems like most of their food is prepped like a service line... I'm from Texas so Mexican food is hard to beat from there... But being this far north it's not too bad...

Not bad for mexican fare. The salsa seems very mild and its more of a chile..not a salsa or pico de gallo. My spanish is pretty good, so i conversed with the waiter in spanish...so, they brought me out some chile that is not on the menu, it had some great taste, and it had some serious bite to it! Love that. I had the carne asada, nothing special here...tortillas were warm, wrapped in foil and served with the plate. I think the prices are a bit high for mexican food, but otherwise...its not a bad place to eat.

This place is all around good. My man and I seem to always go for the carne asada steak with grilled mushrooms. It's like they cook it in butter or something because it is so delicious. Their margarita's are not only good and strong, but they aren't over priced. You really get a lot for your buck. Be prepared because on weekend nights this is the place to be. Being from California though it is a little disappointing that they don't serve menudo or posole. But I guess in a small town you can't be picky.

Ive been here a few times because friends of mine seem to like this place. The food is mediocre at best. The chile verde is pretty good. Rice and beans are blah. Chips and salsa are good. The tacos and burritos and very plain. The staff is nice. The last time I ate here I got food poisoning. I was sick most the night vomiting chile relleno. NEVER AGAIN!

When we go for Mexican food, our favorite part is the chips and salsa and a good strong margarita. Well, the salsa was really thin and the margaritas were hardly strong. We each had a jumbo and didn't feel any effect - which to us was a waste of money and calories lol. However, the food was incredible. We got a variety of food such as - cheese quesadilla, chicken taco, beef burrito, and fried ice cream - which was ALL amazing. We probably won't be back, though because the salsa and margarita flop.

This place was good back in January. I think it changed ownership and the portions decreased. The salsa isn't as good. I would recommend going here for drinks, but the food is not worth it.

Ehhh....the Chips and Salsa are very good. They have this cheese sauce that you get for extra on items such as your Enchiladas and it is very tasty. I haven't tried the Margaritas so I can't vouch for that.

So I've been to this restaurant more times than I'd like to admit. I mean its not the worst restaurant I've ever been to but it is nowhere near the best, not even close. It's a real hit and miss with their "authentic" Mexican fare, with more misses than hits. I've had the carne asada torta and it was edible, on the flip side I've had their shrimp soup, and oh-my-gawd was it awful! It was pretty much a large bowl of bland chicken stock with broccoli and rice and hidden in there were a few shrimp. I have never in my life had a shrimp soup that contained broccoli and rice, and there is a very good reason for that, IT TASTE LIKE POOP! I've also had their shrimp cocktail, and as expected, it was just a cup of shrimp in ketchup water. If you've ever had "real" Mexican food, you can appreciate my disappointment with this restaurant. This restaurant has had a lot of new competition in the past year with three semi-new Mexican restaurants and a fast food Mexican restaurant directly across the street. In my opinion if you want to compete you will need to step your game up and not just rely on your past uniqueness. Granted the other Mexican food options in Junction City are not much better, but you can't really expect authenticity this far north east of the border.

Definitely love how fast and fresh the food is here. The prices are acceptable for the portions you are given. The chips and dip served in the beginning are always warm and crispy. We always get one of the combination plates that would include chalupas, tamales, and another side.

I stopped here for a take out dinner. The tacos and chili rellenos were good.

Nothing out of the ordinary or expected here, but it's all okay and that's fine for an inexpensive and comfortable meal . Most entrees are under $10, and plenty of food. Daily specials and 99 cent margaritas are good deals. Fresh crispy tortilla chips are served in ample quantity. Not too noisy for conversation too.

Went to eat here with a friend. I was looking for some Mexican Food, since I hadn't had some authentic Mexican food in a long time, and I was told this was the best in this city. When we first came in we were greeted nicely by the waiter. Sat down, and given our menus and chips and salsa which I've experienced better nothing to rave about. I honestly didn't even look at the menu, so I told the waiter that I wanted a torta, and some Coke. The restaurant is small compared to others I've been, that was only an observation. My impression of a restaurant is important because this one was quite bland no life, and boring. Went there on a Wednesday afternoon around 3pm, and it might by an odd time, but ok. The food did not take long to reach us. Either they work quick, or they have some food already prepped. So in a couple minutes later in comes the food, my buddy had ordered some carne asada steak, and me a carne asada "con todo". I honestly did not expect much here. So I look at the plate has some fries the torta wrapped in some type of paper, and some sauce. I was hungry so I ate it up and couldn't tell what the ingredients were but it tasted good. The fries no weren't that good, and the sauce was ok. So this was my first time here, and I would come back here, and try other things.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
